Over the Christmas break I spent a whole day snapping pictures at the Taronga Zoo. It was a lot of fun with many new photos to reference for my paintings. Three of the following paintings referenced from photos I have taken at the Zoo and the little cub has again been sent to me for reference from Scotch in Africa.  Enjoy….:-)

I really love the look of the long short style paintings. Here I have gone for that very look. I wish I could show you all the detail within these paintings. They are very time consuming, approx. 20hrs per painting. Thanks to Scotch in Africa for supplying his beautiful photos for reference.

HAPPY NEW YEAR

Well it is now the start of 2011.  The start of a new year is always an exiting time for artists. It is a time when we add a new style or element to our art collection.
Attached are three of my most recent paintings showing another style that will be added to my growing Wildlife and Equine collection. Bright, colourful, modern and unique have been the focus of this new style of painting. I hope you enjoy.

I apologise to bloggers who have been following me for my lack of updates. Due to sickness I haven’t been able to get online as much but due to a good rest things are looking up and moving ahead.
